English: Map of Hokkaidō and its environs by Matsuura Takeshirō; 101 by 89 cm; issued in woodblock print format by the Hokkaidō Development Commission in December 1869; the title「寧静致遠」means subduing the peoples of distant lands to arrive at peace and tranquility; the map includes an epigraph by Minbukyō Date Munenari, a kanshi by Nabeshima Naomasa, first Director-General of the Hokkaidō Development Commission, and a waka by Higashizuke Michitomi, the second Director-General; Hokkaidō University Library, Sapporo, Hokkaidō, Japan
