Summary

Description
English: A 1958 AC Ace roadster seen in Amagansett, NY. Rouge Iris metallic bodywork with gray leather interior and carpeting, a four-speed manual and 28,000 miles. Presented in 1953 this Ace was finished on June 21, 1958 in this very configuration. It is powered by a 1991cc OHV straight-six with triple SU carburettors, and 105hp at 4500rpm. Good shape, recently ran the Colorado Grand without problem, never restored (just repainted) and had one owner for nearly 30 years. It is an AC-engined car with the original engine and factory LHD, sold new to New Hampshire by the then East Coast AC importer, Hap Dressel's AC Imports Inc. in Arlington, VA. Only 220 AC-engined Aces were produced as opposed to 463 Bristol-engined cars. Parked in Amagansett in an attempt to lure a deep-pocketed buyer; sadly all they got was me and my camera as the car is still listed for sale.
