Summary

Description
English: Aka India House. A monumental Edwardian Baroque block, dated 1906, with a characteristic combination of brick and orange terracotta. Grade II* listed. Pevsner notes that Lloyds "was formed in 1896 and within thirty years was packing and despatching one third of foreign cotton trade in Lancashire.
