Summary

Description
English: A78 Inverkip Bypass Recent housing developments mean that the 35 year old 'bypass' now actually bisects the village. The dark horizontal band around Cauldron Hill in the background is the Greenock Cut which delivered water to the town from Loch Thom for industrial and domestic use until made redundant by a tunnel in 1971. The Cut is currently being restored and made more accessible to all 129696 Compare with this photo 388135 which was taken 11 months later.
