Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	Placed in the "Biography" section to increase understanding of the critical commentary and of the context. The image was listed twice for primarily deletion but then was kept twice, second time by default due to "no consensus". Arguably, deleting the image would detriment the understanding of the article subject and one or more of its cores. It may otherwise not comply with the criterion if used in other articles.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	this image is subject to copyright law of Turkey and of the United States. Other images of the person may be subject to copyright law of Syria and other various jurisdictions. No free image of the person exists at this time.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	A corpse image is used on the top of the article as the lead image and part of the top infobox. This (other) image, reduced to less than 100,000 pixels, depicts the person in a time before his death. Both non-free images used in the article contain different information and are significantly and sufficiently dissimilar to each other.
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2)	The image was created as part of family photo collection and then published by the relative online. Original use was mere non-commercial, profile display. Using this image in the article shall not infringe the image's original role.
