English: Aleksandar Marković (born 7. August, 1975) is a Serbian born conductor living in Vienna, Austria. He has established himself as one of the most versatile young conductors, commanding a wide range of both symphonic and operatic repertoire. From 2005 to 2008 he was a principal conductor of Tyrolean Opera House (Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck), In year 2008 he became a principal conductor of Brno Philharmonic Orchestra, Czech Republic. His contract has recently been extended by orchestra's unanimous vote until the end of 2013/14 season. |
