This sculpture is the work of Jean Boucher (1870-1918). The tomb comprises a marble column surmounted by a bronze bust of Le Mounier. The sculpture features an allegory for France in the form of a veiled and grieving woman who holds in her arms a wounded bird symbolizing the dead aviator
