Summary

Description
English: Illustration of the Waters of Mormon, a location in the Book of Mormon. In the mid-ground, a man wearing a white tunic down to about his knees and a turban stands before a crowd (many of whom also wear turbans). The man is Alma the Elder. Alma stands with his left arm raised up and his right arm gesturing outward. Behind him is a large bdoy of water, seemingly a lake of some kind. This is the Waters of Mormon. The edges of the water are surrounded by tropical foliage, including trees with fronds like palms. In the foreground of the image, two men in turbans (one visibly with a mustache), both armed with spears, both wearing dark tunics down to about their knees and caligae sandals, stand, apparently as lookouts.
