学名 Angelica acutiloba 和名 トウキ トウキ（当帰　学名Angelica acutiloba）は、セリ科シシウド属の多年草。漢方薬として用いられる。

特徴 [編集]

本州中部以北の山地に自生する。寒さに強く、高さ60～90cm。茎は赤く、葉は複葉で縁にぎざぎざがある。夏から秋、白い小花を散形につける。全草に強いセロリに似た芳香を持つ。

根は血液循環を高める作用があり、充血によって生じる痛みの緩和に有効。膿を出し、肉芽形成作用があるとされている。日本薬局方では「生薬トウキ」の基原植物は、トウキ及びホッカイトウキ（A. acutiloba var. sugiyamae）とされる。中国原産のカラトウキ（A. sinensis）とは別種である。 当帰芍薬散、補中益気湯、紫雲膏などの漢方方剤に使われる。
