Português: Arquivo Público Municipal de Santo Amaro, Bahia. "A edificação que receberá a função do Arquivo Público Municipal foi construída em 1916, para uso residencial. De acordo com a escritura, a última família proprietária do imóvel foi a Azevedo Souza, que em 1949 foi desapropriado pela Prefeitura Municipal de Santo Amaro. O Fórum funcionou no mesmo lugar até os anos 60 ou 70, e não há indícios de ocupação até 1996. Nesse ano a Prefeitura Municipal cedeu o prédio para que a Academia de Letras de Santo Amaro ocupasse. Hoje o sobrado original está desocupado e em franco processo de degradação. Apenas o anexo, que tem construção recente, está sendo usado pela Academia de Letras de Santo Amaro--ASLA e pelo serviço de controle de zoonoses da cidade."--Instituto do Patrimônio Histórico e Artístico Nacional. |
