Description
English: Athelhampton House the South Front Another Dorset gem, Athelhampton House was built by the grandson of Sir Richard Martyn, Sir William Martyn in the year of the Battle of Bosworth, in 1485. The house features as "Athelhall" in Thomas Hardy's short story "The Waiting Supper", and is a premier stately home open to the public throughout the year. Grade I Listed.
