Description
English: Si Ninoy Aquino, na isinilang noong Nobyembre 27, 1932 kay Benigno Aquino at Aurora Aquino, ay tumira sa bahay na ito kapiling ang maybahay niyang si Corazon Cojuangco at mga anak mula 1961 hanggang ibilanggo siya noong 1972. Noong pinaslang siya, tinunghayan ang bangkay niya dito ng libu-libong tao mula sa iba't ibang sektor ng lipunan na nagtanghal kay Ninoy bilang makabayan at pambansang bayani, simbulo ng oposisyon. Nang pahintulutan siyang magtungo sa Estados Unidos noong 1980 para magpagamot, nanatili si Ninoy doon nang tatlong taon at ipinagpatuloy ang kilusang protesta sa tanghalang pandaigdig. Nagbalik siya noong makasaysayang araw ng Agosto 21, 1983 dahil, wika niya, "The Filipino is worth dying for."
