For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. 100 Jahre Borsig-Werke. Am 22. Juli begeht die von August Borsig in Berlin im Jahre 1837 gegründete Maschinenfabrik die Feierihres 100-jährigen Bestehens. U.B.z. die Festhalle der Borsig-Lokomotiv-Werke in Henningsdorf, in der der Reichsverkehrsminister Dr. Dorpmüller anlässlich der 100 Jahrfeier sprechen wird. Rechts im Bild die zu dem Jubiläumstermin fertiggestellte erste Stromlinien verkleidete Kohlenstaublokomotive. Neu an dieser Maschine ist der vorliegende Führerstand. Die Maschine entwickelt 3000 PS und erreicht eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von 175 km/h. Die Lokomotive ist 23,5 m lang und wiegt mit dem Tender circa 200 t. Die Kohlenstaubbefeuerung
geschieht automatisch. |
