English: Bottom end of Bolton Brow, Sowerby Bridge. The lodge on the right is at the entrance to the canal wharf. It was the porter's lodge and was built in 1837. On the left, the first shop has a nice row of arched windows on the first floor. In contrast the Working Men's Club further up has a formidable expanse of blank wall. |
