Summary

Description
English: The beaches and the pier were the major attractions in the Britannia Amusement Park created by the Ottawa Electric Company in 1900. The reclamation of land from the Ottawa River expanded Britannia Park by about 12 acres, however, it destroyed the beach in the foreground.
