Summary
| Description | O Castelo de Sines situa-se na baía da cidade e é o monumento principal da população. É uma fortaleza medieval construída na primeira metade do século XV que ainda conserva as muralhas com suas ameias flanqueadas por torreões e a Torre de Menagem. Hoje em dia o recinto do castelo cercado, é uma das mais importantes salas de espectáculos ao ar livre de Portugal, graças a sua boa localização e a importância histórica do monumento. Realizam-se diferentes actos musicais e o Festival Músicas do Mundo está entre os que se destacam. A tradição conta que no castelo nasceu Vasco da Gama, filho do alcaide Estêvão da Gama, no ano de 1469.
