Description Statue of Samuel de Champlain with a First Nations scout (Anishinabe Scout) in front (which has since been removed) at Nepean Point in Ottawa, Canada. Both were sculpted by Hamilton MacCarthy.
Date Between 1918 (year that the figure of the kneeling scout was added to the statue) and 1936 (the Department of the Interior ceased to exist). Possible that photo was taken shortly after the statue's base was modified.
