Charles Hiram Burnett, Jr. (1876-1941) was active in Seattle real estate & insurance. He was responsible for developing the area around Lake Washington. He also served on the Seattle City Council, and was at one time Acting Mayor of Seattle. Burnett, along with fellow City Councilman Thomas P. Revelle, officiated the Grand Opening of Pike Place Market. He was married to Mary Florence Goodfellow, with whom he had a son, Charles Burnett III.
