Summary

Description
English: Church of St. Lawrence, Scunthorpe. The Parish Church of Frodingham, this Grade 1 listed building is the oldest in Scunthorpe dating from the Middle Ages. Although it was substantially rebuilt in 1841 with a new nave and chapel added on the north side by Sir Charles Nicholson in 1913. Frodingham Ironstone was used extensively in the construction of the church and the surrounding wall.
