Español: Vista del pico de Peñalara y la Laguna Grande de Peñalara, situada en el fondo del sector nordeste del circo de Peñalara. Todo esto está dentro del Parque Natural de Peñalara, la reserva natural de mayor nivel de protección de toda la Sierra de Guadarrama (centro de España). La imagen fue tomada en junio, un mes en el que aun se conservan las últimas nieves en la cresta del macizo de Peñalara mientras que su deshielo da lugar a numerosas cascadas. La fotografía se hizo junto al Refugio Zabala, un refugio de montaña no guardado que sirve también como almacén de material de mantenimiento del parque. La vegetación existente a esta altitud, por encima de los 2.000 metros, se reduce a praderas alpinas y matorrales como el piorno serrano y la retama rastrera. |
