English: Coal on the move through Shirebrook You will not see many coal trains these days through Shirebrook. Since this picture was taken most of the local mines have shut. The railway has reopened to passengers and trains run to Nottingham from Worksop. The railway depot in the background has long shut with staff moving to Worksop. The class 58 locomotives are also long gone. |
