Description
Español: Espada corta de antenas atrofiadas tipo Arcóbriga, procedente de la necrópolis de «La Osera» , Chamartín de la Sierra en la provincia de Ávila (España). La hoja es de doble filo con nervadura central acanalada. La empuñadura y la guarda cuentan con decoración damasquinada en plata y cobre, en forma de volutas, ovas y líneas paralelas. La empuñadura es de sección circular, con nervadura central horizontal. Restaurada. Pertenece a los inicios de la Segunda Edad del Hierro, Cultura de las Cogotas-II (siglos V-III a. C.). Técnica: damasquinado para la plata presente en empuñadura y vaina, y hierro forjado para la hoja y la vaina. Longitud: 41 cm. Empuñadura de espada: Longitud: 10,20 cm; anchura máxima: 4,70 cm. Hoja de espada: Longitud = 30,50 cm; anchura máxima: 3,90 cm. Actualmente se expone en el Museo Arqueológico Nacional de España, en Madrid, con el número de inventario 1986/81/VI/200/2.
