Summary

Description
English: Commercial Street Mill and attached chimney, Morley. Listed Grade II. The main building is probably now apartments. The smaller building behind was the engine house, and is now houses; I wonder whether the end house has access to the chimney? There was a cast-iron water-tank with moulded panels, but I didn't notice whether it is still there. The mill is built of orange-red brick with ashlar dressings, and on the front are the initials and date 'G 1869 W', and on the chimney 'GW 1871'. I have been informed that the initials stand for Greenwood and Walsh, who also owned Peel Street mills just down the road.
