Summary

Description
English: The shrapnel damaged backpack worn by en:Matt Croucher during the actions that earned him the en:George Cross. Croucher jumped on a Taliban tripwire grenade, absorbing the blast in an attempt to save the lives of his comrades. His medals can also be seen in front of the backpack. It is on display in the Ashcroft Gallery in the Imperial War Museum, London.
