Object history
Deutsch: Die früheren Gemeinden Walddorf und Häslach vereinigten sich am 1. April 1972 zur neuen Gemeinde Walddorfhäslach. Wie die Namen der beiden Orte wurden im Wappen der neuen Gemeinde auch deren wichtigste Wappenfiguren miteinander verbunden. Dabei repräsentiert der aufspringende Marder den Ortsteil Walddorf, dessen Einwohner in der Umgebung mit dem Übernamen „Marder" belegt werden. Drei goldene Haselnüsse sind das heraldische Symbol des Ortsteils Häslach, dessen Name von Haselgebüsch abgeleitet wird. Das Innenministerium hat das Wappen und die Flagge am 16. April 1974 verliehen.
