DescriptionDUBLIN LGBTQ PRIDE PARADE 2019 -PHOTOGRAPHED AT CITY QUAY JUNE 29--153779 (48154170727).jpg
The parade took more than two hours to pass any give point on the route possibly making it bigger than the St. Patrick's Day parade.
Right from the beginning I have photographed this annual event and I have always photographed in the backstage area before the parade actually set out. However, this year I could not gain access without media accreditation which caught me be surprise so I decided to go for lunch and then get the train to Greystones but on my way to the station I found a good location from which to photograph the parade so I took the opportunity.
If you are not interest, I apologise in advance for the number of photographs that I have upload but I usually get a lot of requests form individuals seeking photographs of themselves so I do my best to include as many people as possible.
June 28th marks the 50th anniversary of an uprising that changed the landscape of LGBTQ+ rights forever. Over six nights in 1969, members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community resisted police oppression at the Stonewall Inn in New York City, igniting the modern fight for LGBTQ+ rights across the world.
