Summary

Description
English: Pioneer and innovative civil celebrant who first recognised the need of parents to grieve for their still-born babies. In 1986 and before she organised and created shared funeral ceremonies for large numbers of parents who had never had the opportunity to mourn their child. She radically changed the medical and funeral industry regarding this issue, and raised general awareness among the public of the deep human distress which existed.
