(Caspary.) 3â4 Arten in den Tropen und der ^värnleren gemäÃigten Zone der alten Welt; hiervon die wichtigste A^ Lotus L. in Afrika, weiÃbUitig, unzählige Male auf ägyptischen Denkmälern dargestellt; identisch damit A. thermalis DC. in den warmen Quellen des Bischofsbades von GroÃwardein und des Kaiserbades bei Ofen in Ungarn. Dazu auch als Spielart A'^. den- tala Schum. gehörig. Verschieden als Art ist A. pubescens W. und A'. rubra Roxb. in Südost- asien. Wahrscheinlich gehört hierher auch die fossile A. gypsorum Sap. aus dem Tertiär von Aix.
