Summary

Description

The road that leads from Edinburgh Castle to Holyrood House (where the queen stays for a period every year) is known as the Royal Mile,

On that road there are many old and interesting buildings.

In the centre, here, is John Knox's house. He was a leader of the country's religious "Reformation". He was also the founder of the Presbyterian Church of Scotland and he is a major figure in the history of Scotland.
