Summary

Description
English: Eglwys Cynhaearn Sant Ynyscynhaearn St Cynhaearn's Church An 1832 rebuild of the original church of St Cynhaearn. Little is known of St Cynhaearn, but he is pictured with a boat and an oar in one of the windows of the church. Until Llyn Ystumllyn was drained in the nineteenth century, the church was on an island rising above the waters of the lake. The church was originally the parish church of Tre'r Gest, later to be developed as Tremadog and Porthmadog. It is now disused and in the care of Friends of Friendless Churches http://www.friendsoffriendlesschurches.org.uk/churches/ynyscynhaearn/ynyscynhaearn.htm and lovingly cared for by Suzanne Millard of Pentrefelin http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/northwest/sites/porthmadog/pages/suzanne_millard.shtml
