Description
English: Emilio Castelar (in the center of the photograph, with bowler hat and white walrus mustache), last president of the First Spanish Republic, receiving friends in Quinta de San Sebastián (San Pedro del Pinatar, Region of Murcia). Next to him pose the journalist and politician José García Vaso (to the left of Castelar and in the background) and the poet Vicente Medina (first on the right).
The photograph is prior to May 25, 1899, the date on which President Castelar died.
Español: Emilio Castelar –en el centro de la fotografía, con bombín y bigote de morsa blanco–, último presidente durante la Primera República Española, recibiendo a unos amigos en la Quinta de San Sebastián (San Pedro del Pinatar, Región de Murcia). Junto a él posan el periodista y político José García Vaso –a la izquierda de Castelar y en segundo plano– y el poeta Vicente Medina –primero por la derecha–.
La fotografía es anterior al 25 de mayo de 1899, fecha en la que falleció el expresidente Castelar.
