2. Talsu novada ģerboņa apraksts
2.1. Zelta laukā ozollapu vainagu, kas sastāv no 18 lapām (Pielikums Nr.1).
2.2. Ģerboņa krāsas ir: Pantone 341 C (zaļa), Pantone 873 C (zelta) un Pantone Black C (melna).
2.3. Ģerboņa melnbaltajā versijā ir tikai kontūrzīmējums (Pielikums Nr. 1).

3. Talsu novada karoga apraksts
3.1. Talsu novada karogs ir zaļš ar sarkanu horizontālu svītru un Talsu novada ģerboni vidū (Pielikums Nr.2).
3.2. Zaļo un sarkanās svītras attiecība ir 2:1:2.
3.3. Talsu novada karoga platuma un garuma attiecība ir 1:2.
3.4. Karoga krāsas ir: Pantone 341 C (zaļa), Pantone 873 C (zelta) un Pantone Black C (melna), pamatnei Pantone 357C (zaļa), Pantone 485 C (sarkana).
