Summary
| Description |
English: Ford across the River Aire, Kirkstall. This ford goes across to the island in the river and appears to provide the only access. I wouldn't like to try using it on foot, even on a summer day the flow is strong. The approach to the ford is fairly steep, narrow and rough, and partly blocked by a bush, so you'd probably only get a Land Rover or tractor to the ford. On the other hand the bed of the ford seems well made of substantial stones.
