Summary
| Description |
One of a series of photos chronicling the development of Crawley New Town's 14th residential neighbourhood, Forge Wood. This view looks southeastwards along Steers Lane from a point very near the junction with Radford Road. Just out of shot to the left is Tinslow Farm, a Grade II-listed farmhouse. The land to the right is currently vacant but is about to be developed as part of Phase 1 of the four-phase development of 1,900 houses, school, community facilities, shops etc. In the far distance can be seen preparatory work for the construction of the first access road to the first houses. At the date of the photo, one house had been built. |
