Description
English: Franklin Street, north side, 8 March 1963. Left side of Oddfellows Hall is 56 yards east of Bentham Street, right side abuts Post Office Place. Frontage of the Hall is 10 yards. The Manchester Unity Independent Order of Oddfellows was formed by the merger of the Australian Native's Association Friendly Society and the MU Independent Order of Oddfellows. It offered its members sick pay, funeral benefits, social and moral support. Next door to this two storey building stands F Buttery's newsagency and tobacconist
