DescriptionGowerton railway station - geograph.org.uk - 3673649.jpg
English: Gowerton railway station.
Two-platform station viewed from the footbridge, looking towards Llanelli station about 9km ahead. Swansea station is about 7km away in the opposite direction.
This had been a single-track section of the West Wales Line since 1986. Work to re-double the tracks and bring the formerly disused platform on the right back into use were begun and completed earlier this year (2013). Note the lighter colour of the newer track on the right.
