Description
English: The 2nd story of the brick school house was blown off by the tornado in Grant City, IA, in 1919. Image shows residents surveying the damage the day following the storm. The schoolhouse was no longer being used as a school for children at the time of the event.

Source Original physical photograph that I own and obtained from the William Henry Hawks (1872-1921) estate. Mr. Hawks was on site following the tornado and took this photograph.
