Description
English: A single passenger emerges from the rudimentary station, no doubt manned in GDR times, to meet the 2 carriage personenzug to Neuhausen There had been a railway here since 1895. The other branch of the Flöhatal reaches Marienberg from Pockau-Lengeberg.

In 1999, severe storms washed away numerous bridges and since then, rail replacement services using buses have been in operation beyond Olbernhau-Gruenthal. mitglied.lycos.de/Sachsenbahn/kbs519.htm Here is a map of the Erzgebirgsbahn

Currently (2009) the tourist department in Neuhausen is agitating for passenger services , abandoned since 2001, to be reintroduced. In addition, a sawmill in Deutscheinsiedel has bought a siding here in Heidersdorf for the eventual loading of timber if goods services are reintroduced.
