Summary

Description
English: General of the Air Force Henry 'Hap' Arnold's address delivered at the Smithsonian Institute on the presentation of the Wright Brothers' original 1903 "Kitty Hawk" aeroplane to the United States of America after return from London, England.

Arnold refers to the aircraft as the "Kitty Hawk" three times in this speech, as highlighted (emphasis added to original). Arnold personally knew both of the Wright Brothers, along with members of their family. He received flight instruction from the brothers when first getting trained as a pilot. Arnold was the only 5-star general of the United States Air Force, and was the winner of the first Mackay Trophy, along with being a founder of Pan Am and Project RAND.
