English: Helen Campbell, the first wireless operator recruited by the National League for Women's Service, a World War I government program to use women to fill jobs vacated by men drafted into the military. Photograph shows her with wireless telegraphy equipment and was taken on 8 May 1917, according to duplicate version at https://www.loc.gov/item/2005696170/
