Summary

Description
English: During the University of Edinburgh's February term break, the University's Information Services team, in association with Surgeons' Hall Museums, ran two days of Wikipedia 'editathons' focusing on improving the quality of articles about the history of medicine. The event celebrated the lives & contributions of women in medicine, over sixty years of Nursing Studies & seventy-five years of the Polish School of Medicine. It also unravelled myths in order to create & re-write the Wikipedia pages of Scotland’s famous, and infamous, medical figures including gruesome body-snatcher William Burke and intriguing alumni Dr. James Miranda Barry.
