Illuminations_for_multipitch_pattern.png(408 × 581 pixels, file size: 10 KB, MIME type: image/png)

Summary

Description A given pattern containing multiple pitches would not be illuminated satisfactorily when the minimum half-pitch k1 is < 0.5. One pitch would benefit at the expense of another. In this example, the blue locations in the pupil benefit the minimum pitch lines, while the red locations benefit only the breaks in the lines, while degrading the minimum pitch line image.
