This version is an advert published on the back of a matchday programme, published by the IRFU, for the 1991 Rugby World Cup semi-final tie between Australia and New Zealand (Lansdowne Road, Dublin, 27 October 1991). Irish Steel adverts were common in matchday programmes. Including Irish rugby internationals and GAA All-Ireland championship games. The "capital I" logo shape seen here replaced Irish Steel's older (1960/1970s) "steel worker" motif seen in older adverts. |
