Summary

Description
English: A diagram illustrating the production of nitrogen-vacancy centers in diamond via several methods. First, nitrogen must be introduced into the diamond; possible methods include nitrogen implantation and nitrogen delta doping. Secondly, vacancies must be introduced, which can be accomplished using laser irradiation, ion implantation, or electron irradiation. Finally, annealing at temperatures above 700°C promotes vacancy migration, which results in the nitrogen combining with the vacancy.
