Summary

Description
English: On 28 December 1871, the 35th anniversary of the founding of the colony of South Australia, Adelaide merchant Emanuel Solomon hosted a banquet in Adelaide Town Hall for 520 'old colonists' who had arrived before 1841. The following year Henry Jones made photographic portraits of each of the colonists. From these he created composite photographs, one of the men who attended the banquet and another of the women (who were not allowed to attend).
