Purpose of use	Illustration is to show what Korky looks like since no description can really do justice. Though this image is subject to copyright, its use is covered by the U.S. fair use laws because: It illustrates an educational article about the publisher of the comic from which the cover illustration was taken, and which places the image within a historical, informational context. The image is used as the primary means of visual identification within the article of Korky the Cat. The image is from the comic in which Korky the Cat first talks, in this panel, an issue that is therefore of historical significance to the character. The use of one panel will not affect the value of the original work or limit the copyright holder's rights or ability to distribute the original. In particular, copies could not be used to make illegal copies of the book. The character and comic are copyrighted, and so the image is not replaceable with an uncopyrighted or freely copyrighted image of comparable educational value.
