Description
English: One of the original Leeds trolleybuses. The photo was published in a newspaper in Perth, WA, Australia, as one of the illustrations for an article headed "A motor bus service as a suburban feeder to the nationalised trams [in Perth]". The caption to the photo reads: "One of the Leeds trolley-buses in service. This is what Perth needs between Subiaco and North Fremantle." More than twenty years later, on 1 October 1933, Perth became the first Australian city to set up a permanent trolleybus system. By then, the Leeds trolleybus system had been closed for more than five years.
