Text Appearing After Image:
Zaza has had some success in London, Paris and Berlin, but has never been given in New York, although several Zaza excerpts were given at the Leoncavallo concerts in 1906, when the composer visited America. The story is quite familiar to American audiences, however, through the performances of the play of that name, which has been heard in many countries and many languages, and the musical version follows closely the original play. 552 VICTROLA BOOK OF THE OPERA—LEONCAVALLOS ZAZA
