Life-Line (mission boat)

Purpose of use

Show the vessel described in the article. No other image known of this vessel. Probably this is also an early image, possibly immediately after launching in 1914. The background appears to be the waterfront of Marchfield (now known as Coos Bay) Oregon, sometime from 1914 to 1923. In addition, the vessel shown was a mission boat, which itself was unusual; this image shows the vessel flying the flag of the American Baptist Publication Society.
