Summary

Description
English: Mathry church and war memorial This is the western aspect of the church standing at the high point of the hill. It is said to have once had a steeple which was visible out to sea and used for navigation, but it was blown down by the wind. The church was completely rebuilt in 1867 but its origins go back beyond the beginning of the Christian era. The war memorial records the names of the sons of the parish who lost their lives in both world wars, half a dozen or so in each.
